Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, architecture workshops, design reviews, and working sessions for financial-services clients.
- Translate business priorities into AI roadmaps, architecture decisions, implementation approaches, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Design secure AI applications and agentic workflows across Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AI Foundry, enterprise data platforms, APIs, and approved AI models.
- Define identity, permissions, data access, networking, secrets management, logging, auditing, human-review, and least-privilege controls.
- Evaluate model, retrieval, memory, integration, deployment, security, cost, resilience, maintainability, and production-support risks.
- Review AI Engineer code, implementation evidence, testing results, deployment plans, and technical documentation while maintaining architecture quality.
- Help establish the Ukraine-based AI Center of Excellence through reference architectures, engineering standards, technical reviews, reusable patterns, documentation, and mentoring.
- Design and use AI lab and validation environments with test scenarios, evaluation criteria, evidence requirements, and production-readiness gates.
- Research, test, and validate new AI platforms, agents, connectors, security controls, and architecture patterns before client adoption.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience across software, cloud, data, security, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines, including significant architecture leadership.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering production AI, machine-learning, data, or agentic systems.
- Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience covering hosting, identity, networking, storage, databases, logging, security, and deployment.
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or comparable AI platforms, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector or hybrid search, and agent orchestration.
- Experience designing APIs, data integrations, secure connectors, and Model Context Protocol or comparable tool-integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, Microsoft Graph, and least-privilege access design.
- Working proficiency in Python and the ability to review code, scripts, infrastructure definitions, logs, and other engineering outputs.
- Strong experience designing secure systems with environment separation, identity and access controls, secrets management, audit logging, observability, and human-review safeguards.
- Ability to evaluate technical risk, distinguish prototypes from production-ready solutions, and make evidence-based architecture decisions.
- Strong written and spoken English and the ability to lead technical discussions with executive, financial, development, security, and other stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers, providing technical direction, delegating implementation work, and maintaining architecture and delivery accountability.
- Desirable qualifications include financial-services experience; Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Intune, data-loss prevention, sensitivity labels, and compliance-focused logging; Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code; AI application security evaluation; architecture-practice or Center of Excellence leadership; and relevant professional certifications.
