Base Salary
$150k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for large, diverse image datasets collected by tractor-mounted camera systems.
- Apply advances in computer-vision models and architectures to production systems.
- Develop, deploy, and monitor model-training, evaluation, and inference infrastructure in the cloud and on edge devices.
- Design active-sampling infrastructure to optimize data collection and improve model performance.
- Integrate ML solutions into production robotics systems with a multidisciplinary team.
- Work with agronomists and farmers to translate crop biology and domain knowledge into actionable ML features.
- Support different parts of the software stack as a generalist engineer.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade data pipelines and ML infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Strong experience with data-engineering tools including Pandas, SQL, Apache Airflow, and Spark.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with massive amounts of real-world training data.
- Familiarity with MLOps software and data engineering for consistent ML-model deployment.
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and operate in a dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for taking on multiple roles and responsibilities as the company grows.
- Bonus: experience deploying and optimizing ML models on embedded compute such as NVIDIA Jetson.
- Bonus: experience prototyping, evaluating, or deploying ML and computer-vision models on the edge.
