Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware for Power Management Controllers in server rack systems.
- Develop and maintain C firmware for ARM Cortex-M embedded systems.
- Develop device drivers and control hardware components and peripherals.
- Implement I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, TCP/IP, and other communication interfaces and protocols.
- Build automation, validation, and diagnostic tools using Python and C/C++.
- Participate in architecture design, verification planning, integration, and system testing.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, validation, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Analyze field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded-systems firmware development experience.
- Experience developing firmware for ARM Cortex-M systems using C.
- Experience with power control, peripheral communication, USB device firmware, graphical LCD firmware, and C debugging.
- Familiarity with Linux firmware development, C++ and Python object-oriented programming, system administration, debugging, shell scripting, and log analysis.
- Familiarity with PMC and BMC firmware development, including OpenBMC, Redfish, IPMI, platform monitoring, and management.
- Experience with TCP/IP network programming, RESTful APIs, Redfish, and remote system management.
- Familiarity with Git and Subversion version control systems.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, track issues, report status, and coordinate projects.
