Responsibilities
- Administer and enforce system and application access security policies.
- Perform application security testing, security reviews, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments across applications, operating systems, and network layers.
- Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for new technologies and system changes.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents by isolating threats, removing unauthorized access, and conducting investigations and root cause analysis.
- Implement technical controls to reduce cloud-based risks, including configuration drift, private-cloud gaps, and web-facing vulnerabilities.
- Integrate security testing and controls into development lifecycle phases.
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and support the development of security solutions.
- Manage security vendors and managed service providers.
- Communicate security risks and the business impact of data compromise or system unavailability to management and senior leadership.
- Participate in scheduled off-hours incident response rotations and collaborate with Information Security partners on roadmaps and initiatives.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant experience securing cloud environments, primarily AWS, or equivalent expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong application security engineering and architecture background, including MWAF and software development.
- Proven experience in incident management and response.
- Experience managing security vendors and managed service providers.
- Ability to build partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CISA are preferred.
