Responsibilities
- Own an engineering project while collaborating with team members through regular questions and updates.
- Improve code quality through progressive refactoring.
- Ensure reliability with unit, integration, and load testing.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and distribute knowledge.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment.
- Build work that improves Lyft products for drivers and passengers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and graduating between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Available for a Summer 2027 internship in San Francisco.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with real-time technology problems and databases.
- Open source contributions and experience with mobile development are valued.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a startup environment.
- Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation.
- Master's students with work experience between bachelor's and master's programs must have less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience.
