Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure, resilient, and scalable Kubernetes container platforms for classified environments.
- Drive DevOps and DevSecOps maturity through automation of builds, testing, deployments, observability, and release processes.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
- Implement secure configuration, policy-as-code, and runtime security controls for container workloads.
- Advise on architecture, platform strategy, technology selection, capacity planning, and operational procedures using AWS and Azure.
- Own IT change-management processes and ensure changes are auditable, tested, and compliant with governance requirements.
- Mentor engineers, establish runbooks and playbooks, and lead incident response and postmortems.
- Collaborate with platform, network, security, SRE, and application teams to integrate containerized applications safely.
Requirements
- Current TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph is required.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of professional DevOps experience, or master’s degree plus 8+ years of experience.
- At least 3 years of documented IT change-management experience is mandatory.
- At least 8 years building automation, tooling, and processes that advance DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
- At least 8 years diagnosing and resolving CI/CD pipeline failures, performance issues, and operational slowness.
- Proven experience developing, managing, and securing containerized solutions such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience delivering enterprise cloud-native solutions using AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience mentoring or supervising engineering or operations team members.
- Strong Python and Bash/shell scripting skills, with experience in configuration management, infrastructure as code, and pipeline tooling such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes operators, CRDs, Operators Framework, Helm, Kustomize, Istio or Linkerd, Falco, Aqua, Prisma Cloud, OPA/Gatekeeper, container registry hardening, image scanning, SBOMs, supply-chain protection, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, distributed tracing, GitOps, ArgoCD, secure or classified deployments, and IT program management.
