Responsibilities
- Champion best practices in web and backend development, including architecture, testing, performance optimisation, and delivery practices.
- Build and improve scalable CommSec platform features using TypeScript, React, C#/.NET Core, and database technologies.
- Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions across web and backend systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across product, design, and operations to deliver customer outcomes.
- Own systems end-to-end while maintaining reliability, observability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Promote innovation, inclusion, and psychological safety within the engineering team.
Requirements
- Strong system design and software architecture skills.
- Experience building scalable applications with TypeScript and React.
- Experience designing and running APIs with C#/.NET Core.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of testing, production operations, monitoring, alerting, and performance optimisation.
- Cloud platform experience, particularly AWS, is preferred; Azure and GCP are also relevant.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
