Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable distributed systems focused on performance, reliability, and latency.
- Diagnose, triage, and resolve issues in a microservices environment.
- Design secure APIs and effective database schemas for product features and data handling.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other team members to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Work directly with end users to address operational needs and real-world problems.
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems for high performance and low-latency requirements.
- Proficiency triaging and debugging complex microservice architectures.
- Strong experience designing backend APIs and efficient database schemas.
- Experience with strongly typed programming languages; Java is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools is preferred.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
