Base Salary
$200k - $244k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and design teams to define problems and shape solutions.
- Build and refine systems that source and match offers for community members.
- Contribute to both Android and iOS or backend development as needed.
- Utilize AI coding tools for efficient cross-stack development.
- Translate customer pain points into technical solutions.
- Run experiments to validate the effectiveness of features.
- Design and implement new APIs in collaboration with backend engineers.
- Develop scalable architecture to support organizational growth.
- Drive app development strategies and methodologies.
- Ship features iteratively, balancing speed and quality.
- Create unit and automation tests to ensure code quality.
- Act as a tech lead, mentoring junior engineers and owning projects end-to-end.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in building and maintaining mobile applications, especially Android.
- A product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and business impact.
- Experience as a tech lead, mentoring junior engineers.
- Willingness to work across stacks, including iOS and backend.
- Comfortable with AI-native development workflows.
- Interest in personalization and targeted messaging.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in Kotlin and understanding of reactive and functional programming.
- Experience with modern Android app architectures and Jetpack components.
- Deep understanding of Android UI frameworks.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the SDLC.
- Experience with mobile analytics and experimentation tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with identity verification and authentication protocols is a plus.
- Familiarity with iOS or backend development is a significant plus.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $199,800 - $244,200 plus equity and benefits.
- Hybrid work model with two days a week in the Vancouver office.
