Base Salary
$62k - $141k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain scalable data engineering platforms and pipelines.
- Develop end-to-end data applications, including data back ends and interactive front ends.
- Assess, design, build, and maintain analytics systems for client missions.
- Examine disparate data sources and translate them into meaningful insights and decision-support answers.
- Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, developers, data consumers, clients, and leadership.
- Communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences, including external customers and leadership.
- Break down customer requirements and complex problems into independently developed technical solutions.
- Follow software development lifecycle best practices and identify development risks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software development, data science, or data engineering based on impactful industry-oriented work.
- At least 2 years of experience using Python for data with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, and PySpark.
- At least 1 year of experience building visualization front ends, analytics dashboards, or interactive GUI applications.
- At least 1 year of experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical external customers and leadership.
- Experience independently translating complex customer problems and requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience following SDLC best practices and producing efficient, reliable, production-quality code.
- Secret clearance is required, with eligibility for access to classified information.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- Preferred experience with DoD platforms including War Data Platform, ADVANA, or Palantir Foundry.
- Preferred experience with Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, React, Angular, TypeScript, generative AI, LLMs, AWS, and operations research optimization.
