Base Salary

$100k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and triage incidents, apply runbooks, and restore services quickly and consistently.
Design and implement metrics, monitors, logging, and observability integrations for distributed applications.
Develop and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and DAG dependency definitions for FCM processes.
Establish SLA, SLO, and SLI targets for critical processes.
Manage Kafka and IBM MQ event platform systems supporting connectivity with external partners.
Provide operational feedback to engineering teams to improve process resiliency and robustness.
Use AI tooling to identify gaps in monitoring, analysis, documentation, and other operational areas.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 2 years of experience working with distributed systems in a production environment.
Comfort using AI tooling to improve workflows and surface operational insights.
Strong understanding of security best practices for backend services.
Excellent verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with finance back-office systems and trading concepts, multi-tenant SaaS architectures, and regulated fintech, trading, or brokerage environments.

Salary range of $100,000.00-$150,000.00 USD plus a 10% annual target bonus.
401(k) plan through ADP with a company match of up to 3.5% of employee contributions.

The role is not open to remote candidates outside the Chicago-based hybrid arrangement.
