Base Salary
$156k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build multi-step AI agents that coordinate mortgage fulfillment workflows.
- Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent reliability, accuracy, and task completion and use results to improve prompts, models, and fallbacks.
- Architect and operate agent infrastructure including model serving, prompt pipelines, batching, queueing, and observability.
- Build reliable integrations with Encompass, DocuTech, and other third-party platforms.
- Own workstream architecture, surface technical tradeoffs, and drive end-to-end technical decisions.
- Apply testing, measurement, observability, and incident-response best practices and mentor engineers through reviews and design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating scalable, reliable services in a modern cloud environment.
- Production ownership of an AI or ML system from design through shipping, measurement, and iteration, with accountability for correctness, cost, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience in at least two areas: evaluation pipelines and labeled data production, LLM or ML model serving and multi-step AI workflow orchestration, or reliable third-party and external API integrations.
- Strong infrastructure expertise and AI fluency, including handling timeouts, race conditions, malformed payloads, and retry storms.
- Ability to define correctness measures, build verification tooling, and use measurements to improve systems.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to develop expertise in specialized domains; mortgage experience is not required.
