Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end verification and validation across the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test design, execution, and automation.
- Derive test specifications and verification criteria from system and software requirements, with a focus on passive safety systems.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Execute communication, diagnostic, ECU-level, embedded, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test reports, traceability matrices, and review documentation.
- Support defect analysis, debugging, resolution, task estimation, progress reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements, including shift or overlap hours when needed.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in automotive software verification and validation.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test case design techniques.
- Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, CANTP, and UDS protocols.
- Proven automation scripting experience using CAPL, Python, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANStress.
- Experience testing embedded automotive ECUs; passive safety or airbag systems experience is advantageous.
- Good programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ASPICE and/or CMMI processes.
- Experience with DOORS, CodeBeamer, and PTC source or issue management tools.
- Familiarity with hardware testing environments, laboratory equipment, and ESD handling practices.
- Preferred qualification: BE, BTech, ME, or MTech.
- Strong ownership, accountability, collaboration, quality focus, and adaptability.
