Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end verification and validation activities, including requirements analysis, test design, execution, and automation.
- Derive test specifications and verification criteria from system and software requirements, focusing on Passive Safety systems.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using CAPL, Python, or Java.
- Execute automotive communication and diagnostic testing using CAN, CAN-FD, CANTP, and UDS.
- Perform ECU-level testing with CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANStress.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test reports, traceability matrices, and review documentation.
- Conduct embedded and hardware-in-the-loop testing using oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, and function generators.
- Support defect analysis, debugging, resolution, task estimation, project tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Follow safe hardware handling and ESD practices and support team discussions, quality initiatives, and changing project requirements.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in automotive software verification and validation.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test case design techniques.
- Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, CANTP, and UDS protocols.
- Proven automation scripting experience with CAPL, Python, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANStress.
- Experience testing embedded automotive ECUs; Passive Safety or Airbag experience is a strong advantage.
- Good programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ASPICE and/or CMMI processes.
- Experience with DOORS, CodeBeamer, and PTC for requirements, source, and issue management.
- Familiarity with hardware testing environments, laboratory equipment, and ESD handling practices.
- Preferred qualification: BE, BTech, ME, or MTech.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, take ownership, adapt to changing requirements, and support shift or overlap working hours when required.
