Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Own technical aspects of the sales cycle, including discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, prioritization, pipeline generation, and end-to-end deal execution.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay customer and field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain ongoing product, technical, and industry knowledge through training and professional development.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of related industry experience, ideally including at least two years in a customer-facing role.
- At least two years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C, C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to review complex application architectures with customers and recommend technology-based improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining complex technical and business concepts to technical and business leaders.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional sales teams and execute an end-to-end deal cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken German.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with major cloud providers, technical pre-sales, database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message, MongoDB Certification, or cloud provider certification.
