Base Salary

$111k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models for readiness assessment, performance analysis, and injury-risk awareness.
Validate, test, refine, and evaluate model performance, assumptions, limitations, and potential bias.
Support data preparation, feature development, analytic dataset construction, and identification of data-quality issues.
Collaborate with scientific, data engineering, software, and government stakeholders to align analytic outputs with requirements and approved data definitions.
Support integration of analytic outputs into dashboards, reports, and user-facing decision-support tools.
Create repeatable analytic workflows and document methods, assumptions, limitations, and results.
Prepare analytic summaries and briefings and communicate findings to non-technical government audiences.

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience applying statistical analysis or machine learning techniques to real-world data problems.
Familiarity with data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation concepts.
Experience working with structured and semi-structured data.
Ability to collaborate across analytics, research, and software development teams.
Strong analytical reasoning and communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Preferred experience in health, human performance, readiness, or research-driven analytics environments.
Preferred familiarity with integrating analytic outputs into dashboards or operational systems and working with data engineering or software development teams.
Prior experience supporting Department of War or federal customers is preferred.
