Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions for edge-services customers using platform capabilities and product features.
- Build metrics, tools, automations, visualizations, and monitors to operate and optimize edge services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve major incidents and known issues, and provide technical consultancy for feature requests and development-tool enhancements.
- Monitor and improve local support metrics, including SLA and CSAT, to support global objectives.
- Collaborate with NOC and SRE teams on support metrics and operational goals.
- Lead technical support assignments, user training, and internal knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Participate in technical operations rotations responding to performance and reliability issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience optimizing networking technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS in a carrier-grade environment.
- Linux systems experience from kernel through shell, including system libraries, file systems, and network protocol optimization.
- Experience with one or more of Go, Java, C++, Shell, or Python.
- CDN technology experience is preferred.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and building automation and tools for large-scale systems is preferred.
- Ability to independently move projects from concept through delivery is preferred.
