Base Salary

$61k - $93k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, testing, and integration of software plugin capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain software using C++ or another object-oriented programming language.
  • Implement and modify plugin components within an established software architecture.
  • Integrate software with project hardware and hardware-dependent interfaces.
  • Develop and execute automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • Assist with software builds, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
  • Work within GitLab-based development and configuration-management workflows.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and the maturation of automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Travel to domestic U.S. sites up to 10% and work in office and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 0–2 years of software development experience; internships, academic projects, or research experience may qualify.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a TS/SCI Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Working knowledge of C++ or another object-oriented programming language.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, software debugging, and basic software design principles.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitLab, including source control, branching, commits, and merge requests.
  • Ability to develop, test, debug, and document software within an established development framework.
  • Ability to work in Linux-based development environments and use common software development and debugging tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and test engineering personnel.
  • Preferred qualifications include C++17 or newer, Python, GitLab CI/CD, CMake, plugin-based architectures, Docker, and cloud-based development environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, defense, aerospace, or modeling and simulation software environments is preferred.
