Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain MATLAB/Simulink test cases for BCM and automotive body electronics software.
  • Perform Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop testing for Simulink and Stateflow models.
  • Create test harnesses, simulation environments, input stimulus data, signal-monitoring logic, and automated regression suites.
  • Analyze requirements to derive test scenarios, expected results, and verification criteria.
  • Perform model and requirements coverage analysis, test-result analysis, defect logging, retesting, and regression testing.
  • Debug failed simulations by analyzing signals, state transitions, data flows, timing behavior, boundary conditions, and interface mismatches.
  • Maintain traceability among requirements, test cases, results, defects, and verification evidence.
  • Collaborate with development, integration, validation, quality, customer, OEM, and supplier teams.
  • Prepare test reports, coverage summaries, defect summaries, regression updates, and verification evidence.
  • Follow automotive testing processes, model-verification guidelines, configuration-management practices, and customer quality expectations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience is required; the professional profile specifies 4–6 years in automotive embedded software testing, MATLAB/Simulink model testing, model-based verification, or control software validation.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent bachelor's education in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with 15 years of full-time education.
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Test, test-harness creation, model simulation, debugging, and automated test execution.
  • Experience with Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, requirement-based testing, regression testing, test-result analysis, and defect reporting.
  • Understanding of automotive ECU software development and testing lifecycles, preferably in BCM, body electronics, chassis, powertrain, ADAS, or related vehicle domains.
  • Knowledge of test-vector preparation, boundary-value analysis, equivalence partitioning, signal monitoring, functional scenario testing, and negative testing.
  • Familiarity with model, decision, condition, and requirements coverage and verification evidence preparation is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, UDS diagnostics, ECU communication concepts, vehicle signals, and signal databases.
  • Exposure to requirements management, traceability, configuration management, defect lifecycles, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Polarion, Git, or SVN.
  • Basic exposure to ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR concepts, software quality checks, and model-verification guidelines is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in Agile or V-model delivery environments and collaborate with distributed teams.
