Principal Engineer, Test

- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, QA, and DevOps teams to understand requirements, investigate issues, and identify root causes.
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and procedures across web applications, middleware, backend services, and system integrations.
- Design and implement reusable automated test solutions using modern quality engineering practices.
- Perform manual, automated, and exploratory testing for functional and non-functional coverage.
- Integrate test automation, quality controls, and validation activities into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain test results, traceability matrices, quality metrics, and validation documentation for compliance and release readiness.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and testing execution.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, IEC 62304, Agile, Lean, and Quality System requirements.
- Identify quality gaps, improve testing practices, and drive continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in software verification and validation, quality engineering, or testing web and desktop applications.
- Expertise defining and executing test strategies, V&V plans, and automated testing frameworks for cloud-connected applications.
- Hands-on experience with TestCafe, Robot Framework, Selenium, Postman, and Cucumber.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Python for scalable and maintainable test automation.
- Experience with Agile environments, BDD, TDD, and quality engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and integrating automated testing into software delivery.
- Understanding of Azure and AWS cloud technologies and testing distributed web-based applications.
- Experience with test data management, quality metrics, defect analysis, and validation activities.
- Familiarity with Coverity, Fortify, and related code quality, security, and testing tools.
- Healthcare, medical-device, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, business acumen, customer focus, and execution skills across global cross-functional teams.
