Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control systems through rigorous software testing and analysis.
- Create test plans, test strategies, test cases, and defect reports, and track defects to resolution.
- Perform manual and automated functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive test automation initiatives using scripting languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Gather and understand requirements, identify omissions and testing impediments, and assess high-risk software areas.
- Collaborate with development, business, and cross-functional teams to communicate quality issues and support project test phases.
- Provide timely test-result updates to management and help resolve quality issues.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, and support hiring and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents.
- Experience writing test cases, gathering requirements, and testing web services.
- Understanding of formal software test design techniques and QA processes and standards.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Experience with automation, testing frameworks, tools, and scripting languages.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with development and business teams and identify testing challenges and risks.
