Software Development Engineer in Test

Responsibilities
- Develop automated tests and extend existing testing tools and frameworks.
- Execute white-box, black-box, UI, API, performance, regression, and data-driven testing.
- Create and execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and user stories.
- Identify testing gaps and process flaws and implement improvements to product quality.
- Investigate defects by debugging code and helping design solutions.
- Contribute to DevOps work and improve the team’s CI/CD processes.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and support seamless, on-time releases.
- Participate in product demonstrations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a software development environment.
- Ability to write automated test code and tools.
- Expertise with UI automation tools such as Cypress and API testing tools such as soapUI or RestAssured.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as Jmeter or K6.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Rspec, Fitness, or TestNG.
- Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
- Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, continuous integration, and delivery pipelines.
- Experience with distributed source code control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Linux, and WebLogic is a plus; healthcare domain experience is also a plus.
