Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps and omissions, and anticipate testing challenges.
- Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test strategy documents.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Develop and implement test automation using scripting languages, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Create defect reports, track defects to resolution, and report meaningful test results to management.
- Identify software risk areas, drive issue resolution, and ensure adherence to QA processes and standards.
- Collaborate with development, business, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and communicate testing impacts.
- Establish collaborative relationships across teams and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and develop talent, where required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Four to six years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages and logical implementations.
- Hands-on experience with automation, frameworks, and testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Ability to follow QA processes and standards and perform functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong interpersonal and people-management skills, including conflict management and talent development.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
