Responsibilities
- Review project goals and requirements to identify gaps, omissions, testing challenges, and impediments.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test result reports.
- Perform manual and automated functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive automation initiatives using scripting, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Create defect reports, track issues through resolution, and provide timely test updates to management.
- Forecast high-risk software areas, anticipate problems, and drive resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Build collaborative relationships with development and business teams to understand requirements and communicate test impacts.
- Manage conflicts, increase productivity, and help hire and develop talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Four to six years of software testing experience.
- Strong quality assurance background in manual and functional testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages, logical implementations, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plan and strategy documents, writing test cases, and gathering requirements.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Ability to follow QA processes and standards and use defect management tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- People-management skills and the ability to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire, and grow talent.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
