Responsibilities
- Lead solutioning and architectural direction for complex, cross-functional Guidewire initiatives.
- Oversee development quality and delivery across multiple large-scale initiatives and establish engineering best practices.
- Act as the primary technical authority, resolving high-complexity dependencies and risks across teams.
- Own resolution strategies for critical cross-system production incidents and drive reliability and performance improvements.
- Advise leadership on technical risks, tradeoffs, and roadmap decisions and represent engineering in design forums.
- Build organizational Guidewire capability through coaching, reusable assets, technical standards, and future-leader development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, or technology program leadership.
- Full English fluency.
- Extensive Guidewire Insurance Suite experience with deep PolicyCenter expertise and sustained property and casualty domain experience.
- Required people leadership background.
- Advanced experience with Guidewire configuration, Gosu, Integration Framework, REST/SOAP, Java/J2EE, Spring, SQL/Oracle, batch and event-driven patterns, CI/CD, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Deep experience with Guidewire Jutro Digital Platform and Earnix rating/pricing engine integration, plus cloud-based architecture expertise.
- Guidewire Certified Specialist certification in PolicyCenter Configuration and Insurance Suite Integration; additional Guidewire Cloud Certifications are preferred.
- Experience with AI automation implementation, Claude AI, and Claude Agents.
- Ability to overlap with the US time zone for approximately 2–3 hours per day.
