Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, availability, performance, and resilience of customer-facing Azure applications.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve incidents and production platform issues using SRE practices.
- Maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including diagnostics, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Maintain and extend Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Support and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Develop Python, Bash, or similar scripts and tools to automate repetitive operational processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to improve production readiness and follow established governance and compliance standards.
- Contribute to observability, capacity planning, root cause analysis, operational toil reduction, and continuous platform improvement.
- Participate in an on-call rotation of approximately one week in four during peak tax season from March through July.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar production-focused engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting cloud-based applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Strong understanding of application and infrastructure operations, incident management, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar technologies, particularly for automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and experience in large-scale enterprise or matrix organizations are preferred.
