Base Salary
$216k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of embedded device security architecture, including secure key management, hardware secure boot, PKI, and encryption.
- Collaborate with CoreOS, Firmware, Design, and Cloud Services teams to deliver robust security features.
- Develop TrustZone or native kernel applications for hardware-backed identity and data protection.
- Build secure channels between devices, protect personal data, and support automatic theft detection.
- Interface with biometric sensors to secure data flows across device boundaries.
- Assist with vulnerability management and apply secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Own multidisciplinary projects from concept through deployment and assess attack surfaces and threat models.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in secure programming for embedded systems, AOSP, or Windows environments.
- Strong programming experience primarily in C, C++, or Java.
- Strong understanding of embedded security concepts including roots of trust, secure boot, cryptography, PKI, and application sandboxing.
- Experience with firmware security, OS-level security, or network security.
- Experience designing secure interfaces with biometric sensors, handling custom PKI, or supporting factory flow processes.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams on attack-surface and threat-model assessments.
- Deep understanding of, or strong desire to learn, cryptography, security, and privacy theory and practices.
- Preferred experience with embedded systems in consumer electronics, IoT, medical, or payment devices.
- Preferred experience with AOSP and Linux security, including TrustZone, TEE, AVB, Keystore, and SELinux.
- Preferred experience with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or ISO privacy compliance standards.
