Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deliver product features as part of an engineering team.
- Build administration tools supporting the Concur Spend platform and millions of end users.
- Work across frontend and backend systems using the team's architecture and engineering practices.
- Participate in on-call after onboarding and investigate and resolve incidents.
- Collaborate with product management, user experience, and distributed engineering teams across time zones.
Requirements
- Experience developing web applications or software, including experience from internships, co-op terms, or personal and academic projects.
- Bachelor's degree or in-progress bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to solve technical problems by writing working code in a hands-on role.
- Programming experience in one or more of Java, TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience with React, Redux, Spring Boot, Node.js, Express, AWS, Kubernetes, and SQL databases such as SQL Server or MySQL is desirable.
- Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, REST API design, and microservice architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and AI/ML integration such as LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or model evaluation is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and evidence of excellence through projects, open source, or other accomplishments.
