Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deliver product features as part of an engineering team.
- Build administration tools supporting the Concur Spend platform and its end users.
- Work across frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered product features.
- Learn and apply the team's engineering practices and architecture patterns.
- Participate in on-call after onboarding and help investigate and resolve incidents.
- Collaborate with product management, user experience, and distributed team members across Vancouver, Bellevue, and São Leopoldo.
Requirements
- Experience developing web applications or software, including experience from internships, co-op terms, or personal and academic projects.
- Bachelor's degree or in-progress bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to solve technical problems by writing working code in a hands-on role.
- Programming experience in one or more of Java, TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience with React, Redux, Spring Boot, Node.js, or Express is desirable.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, SQL databases, CI/CD, automated testing, and AI/ML integration is desirable.
- Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, REST API design, and microservice architecture.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Evidence of excellence through personal projects, open-source contributions, or another significant accomplishment.
