Responsibilities
- Define the technical direction and architecture for an enterprise AI platform focused on software development lifecycle automation.
- Design scalable AI capabilities, including Atlassian integrations, event-driven architectures, Model Context Protocol workflows, and retrieval-augmented systems.
- Establish engineering standards, guide implementation decisions, lead architecture reviews, and evaluate emerging AI technologies.
- Drive the evolution from event-driven AI capabilities toward autonomous multi-agent systems.
- Ensure platforms are secure, resilient, observable, governed, and aligned with Responsible AI principles.
- Partner with product, platform, security, DevSecOps, and enterprise architecture teams while mentoring engineers and driving adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership designing and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in enterprise AI, Generative AI, intelligent agent architectures, and secure, scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud-native engineering, distributed systems, API-first design, and event-driven architectures across Azure and AWS.
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Model Context Protocol, and orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or Semantic Kernel.
- Experience integrating Atlassian products and DevSecOps ecosystems; relevant AI or cloud certifications are a plus.
- Ability to influence technical direction, communicate effectively with stakeholders, structure complex technical work, and coach engineers.
