Responsibilities
- Write ETL processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytical processing.
- Troubleshoot software and data processes, integrate complex large-scale data sources, and support business insight and decision-making.
- Translate business specifications into technical designs and maintainable code, including complex programs, queries, and reports.
- Lead all phases of solution development and explain technical decisions to internal clients and less experienced team members.
- Assess data quality, thoroughly test code, provide data analysis guidance, and act as a technical consultant.
- Educate and develop junior data engineers, apply quality control, and establish data engineering standards.
- Test and implement software releases through regression testing and work with vendors to resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Applications, or a Master’s in Computer Applications.
- Strong hands-on data engineering experience designing and building scalable data solutions end to end.
- Expertise in the AWS ecosystem, including Glue and S3, with exposure to cloud-native architectures.
- Strong programming experience with Python and PySpark for building data pipelines.
- Experience designing, developing, and optimizing scalable, reliable, and reusable data pipelines.
- Ability to take technical ownership, lead solution design, and translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Preferred experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, Lakehouse architecture, and ML/data pipeline integration.
