Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform manual and automated testing for Big Data applications and data pipelines.
- Validate data quality, data transformations, and end-to-end data processing workflows.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot defects to determine root causes.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to drive defect resolution.
- Create and maintain test documentation, test results, and defect reports.
- Identify risks, edge cases, and potential quality gaps throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with global teams across different time zones and drive deliverables to completion with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Big Data.
- Strong understanding of Test Engineering principles and best practices.
- Ability to design effective test cases, including negative and edge-case scenarios.
- Basic knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
- Preferred experience testing applications using Kafka, Redis, and Hive.
- Exposure to Big Data platforms, distributed data processing systems, test automation frameworks, and data validation techniques.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, collaborate with teams, and support meetings outside standard working hours when required.
