QA Engineer II
Toast, Inc.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Development, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to product and roadmap discussions.
- Create, implement, and review comprehensive test plans and test strategies for significant components, features, applications, or services.
- Test new features and regression scenarios across Toast’s hardware and software products.
- Create, prioritize, and escalate defects, and collaborate on defect triage, reproduction, debugging, and fix validation.
- Develop maintainable and reusable automation scripts to increase test coverage and improve release-testing efficiency.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and improve team testing processes and strategies.
- Use testing and quality expertise to support product quality, user experience, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Ability to understand complex business logic and develop creative testing approaches.
- Experience designing and delivering test plans and applying testing strategies and methodologies.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, web application testing, desktop testing, Toast hardware testing, mobile application testing, and automated testing using Selenium or Playwright.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks, methodologies, and tools for backend and frontend technology stacks.
- Ability to create maintainable and reusable automation scripts that identify defects without producing false positives.
- Experience improving testing processes and working effectively with software engineering peers.
- Strong familiarity with testing fintech and payments products and services is preferred.
- Commitment to quality, user experience, continuous learning, and problem solving.
