Responsibilities
- Own pre-release regression, validation, and release-readiness decisions for iOS and Android applications.
- Build and maintain mobile automation suites and run them in CI against release candidates.
- Determine which scenarios should be automated or tested manually while maintaining suite reliability.
- Design end-to-end coverage for core user journeys and perform exploratory testing of high-risk changes.
- Test on real devices, including low-end Android devices and poor network conditions.
- Use AI tooling to generate test cases, draft automation, triage crashes, cluster support tickets, and summarize logs.
- Audit AI-generated adversarial tests, verify fixes, and confirm that regressions have not been introduced.
- Perform API-level testing and diagnose issues using device, console, proxy, and log tools.
- Produce detailed bug reports and investigate intermittent or device-specific issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of mobile QA experience focused primarily on both iOS and Android.
- Strong experience building and maintaining automation suites using Maestro, Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Maintainable coding experience in Kotlin, Swift, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience with CI/CD and keeping automated test suites stable.
- Hands-on experience using AI tooling in testing and the judgment to assess its output.
- Experience testing low-end Android devices and poor network conditions.
- Ability to diagnose issues using adb/logcat, Xcode console, Charles, or Proxyman.
- API-level testing experience and strong exploratory testing skills.
- Experience in fintech, payments, or lending.
- Clear written communication, strong judgment, ownership, curiosity, persistence, and ability to influence without authority.
