Base Salary
$166k - $273k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize budget-pacing controllers using PID methods and probabilistic forecasting.
- Lead backend integration of Diffusion and LLM models for automated image and video creative generation.
- Build and scale A/B testing, switchback testing, and long-term holdout experimentation infrastructure.
- Architect and maintain high-throughput billing pipelines for accurate processing and financial reconciliation at massive scale.
- Analyze marketplace and financial data to tune pacing and billing logic for advertiser performance.
- Use Kafka, Flink, or Spark for real-time event-based charging and performance feedback.
- Lead complex multi-quarter technical roadmaps and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science or a relevant engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years working on ads delivery systems.
- Extensive experience building and operating large-scale, low-latency backend systems using Java, Go, or Scala.
- Experience with budget control systems, feedback loops, or spend-prediction algorithms.
- Experience building or scaling experimentation platforms and understanding variance reduction, interference, network effects, and marketplace metric design.
- Experience with mission-critical billing, payments, or clearinghouse pipelines requiring precision, idempotency, and fault tolerance.
- Experience or strong technical interest in backend workflows for serving, scaling, and storing Generative AI models.
- Proficiency with real-time stream processing using Kafka, Flink, or Spark for event-based charging and performance feedback.
- Ability to lead technical roadmaps and mentor senior engineers.
- Experience embracing AI as a strategic engineering advantage and following code quality and security best practices is desirable.
