$267k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable, high-concurrency backend solutions for financial products.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Business leadership to translate product visions into technical systems.
- Serve as the team’s primary technical authority and guide architectural decisions.
- Oversee rigorous code reviews and ensure system reliability, code health, and maintainability.
- Build and optimize frameworks supporting Uber’s global scale and secure financial transactions.
- Mentor senior engineering teams and promote technical rigor and rapid delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of professional full-time software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Go, Java, or C++.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience designing, building, and maintaining high-scale resilient distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience building mission-critical financial services software such as payments, lending, credit cards, or trading platforms.
- Preferred: experience leading senior engineering teams.

- Sunnyvale, CA-based role with an annual base salary range of USD $267,000 to USD $297,000.
