Base Salary
$193k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software infrastructure and mechanisms for integrating and updating Nitro firmware across the EC2 fleet.
- Design, implement, and review software for reliable, scalable firmware deployment and platform enablement.
- Develop automated tests and monitoring systems to measure firmware performance, qualification, deployment, and reliability.
- Collaborate with principal engineers, silicon designers, hardware engineers, and internal and external partners.
- Lead or contribute to software design reviews, architecture decisions, and engineering processes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 6+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 4+ years of leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: 8+ years of programming experience and 6+ years of leading software design or architecture.
- Preferred: Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong low-level embedded concepts, C/C++ programming, scripting, automated testing, version control, automated build processes, and software unit testing experience.
