Base Salary
$110k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and verify software for complex aerospace systems.
- Develop software from defined software-level requirements through design and implementation.
- Work throughout a structured software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification, and delivery.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, software development, integration, and test teams.
- Support software certification, traceability, documentation, and development processes driven by RTCA DO-178C.
- Contribute to software integration, debugging, and troubleshooting in system or laboratory environments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, with approximately 5–10 years preferred.
- Strong software development experience using Java and/or Python.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining software within complex systems.
- Familiarity with RTCA DO-178C software certification and its associated processes and documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with systems engineering and test teams throughout software development, integration, and verification.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience developing software for aerospace, avionics, aircraft, or other safety-critical systems.
- Preferred experience with airplane software development and certification, requirements traceability, networked embedded systems, and structured software development lifecycles.
- Preferred familiarity with Git and Jira.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving requirements and technical or program priorities.
