Base Salary
$140k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, maintainable data pipelines that ingest and transform data from multiple sources.
- Develop and support secure, tenant-aware APIs for external data integrations.
- Work with event-driven and batch processing architectures to keep data fresh and consistent.
- Design integration patterns supporting real-time and batch ingestion with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and API keys.
- Implement monitoring and alerting for data freshness issues, failures, and performance problems.
- Improve data flows and transformations while balancing cost, efficiency, and delivery speed in a cloud-native environment.
- Partner with data engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to make the integration platform easier to extend and onboard new sources.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or integration engineering, with exposure to ETL, APIs, or data pipelines.
- Solid working proficiency in Python.
- Experience building against REST APIs; GraphQL or webhook familiarity is a plus.
- Comfort with SQL and exposure to a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Exposure to orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
- Willingness to work in a containerized environment using Docker.
- Experience implementing authentication flows such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, and secrets management is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other production deployment tooling is a bonus.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRMs, CDPs, or enterprise data tools and their APIs is a bonus.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and real-time data processing tools is a bonus.
- Awareness of data governance and compliance considerations such as GDPR and SOC 2 is a bonus.
- Experience in a multi-tenant SaaS or data-intensive environment is a bonus.
