Responsibilities
- Define reusable end-to-end architectures and reference patterns for multi-agent workflows.
- Standardize LLM providers, embedding models, vector databases, retrieval strategies, prompt templates, evaluators, and observability stacks.
- Lead discovery, scoping, proof-of-concept, pilot, and scale-out phases for practical AI solutions.
- Own non-functional requirements covering security, privacy, compliance, performance, reliability, and AI cost efficiency.
- Design data contracts, chunking, indexing, hybrid search, citations, freshness pipelines, and hallucination guardrails.
- Define integrations with enterprise systems, event streams, APIs, gateways, cloud services, and release governance.
- Establish evaluation frameworks, telemetry, failure mitigations, and safety policies for AI content, access, and actions.
- Guide developer squads, create internal playbooks and training tracks, define coding standards, and support interviewer panels.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in Java full-stack development.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI APIs.
- Proven ability to build end-to-end applications and integrate AI into existing systems.
- A visible portfolio of AI projects demonstrating experimentation and rapid prototyping.
- Experience designing multi-agent systems, agent frameworks or custom orchestration, production-grade RAG, retrieval evaluation, reranking, freshness pipelines, and hybrid search.
- Experience with LLMOps or ModelOps, prompt and version management, evaluation harnesses, feature flags, canarying, A/B testing, and safety gateways.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, containers, serverless systems, event-driven systems, secrets management, policy as code, and AI cost governance.
- Experience with enterprise API gateways, event buses, messaging systems, and contract testing.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java; familiarity with C#/.NET, Go, Rust, SQL, and shell scripting is beneficial.
- Ability to translate business problems into practical AI solutions and communicate clearly with business and engineering stakeholders.
