Base Salary
$135k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers in designing and delivering scalable microservices and platform solutions from ideation through release.
- Translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications with Product Managers.
- Partner with lead engineers and architects on technical designs, enterprise integration patterns, and reusable platform APIs.
- Write hands-on code using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and related technologies.
- Write automated tests, enforce unit testing practices, and maintain enterprise-grade quality, performance, and reliability.
- Review engineering work and enforce coding standards using tools such as Sonar.
- Design and implement data solutions integrating Oracle, Cassandra, Kafka, OpenSearch, and cloud object storage.
- Lead deployments on Kubernetes and oversee infrastructure practices.
- Monitor platform health using AppDynamics, ELK, and Grafana, and lead root cause analysis for production incidents.
- Influence the technical direction of the engineering team, motivate team members, and participate in communities of practice and continuous education.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Requires 6 or more years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Requires 4–6 years of large-scale application development experience.
- Expert understanding of Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL databases, and web technologies.
- Ability to write high-quality code and champion coding standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly, motivate team members, and drive continuous improvement.
- Passion for ecommerce and retail is a plus.
