Responsibilities
- Train imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or fine-tuned foundation-model policies for real robot tasks.
- Build data collection and evaluation pipelines and run ablation studies.
- Deploy policies on hardware and iterate based on real-world performance.
- Test and improve work on physical robots at the office.
- Work on pose estimation, VLM, VLA, 3D scene reconstruction, object detection, and multimodal learning.
- Own a defined project end-to-end with light supervision and present a demonstration to the team.
Requirements
- Pursuing an MS or PhD in machine learning, robotics, computer science, or a related field; exceptional undergraduates are welcome.
- Strong PyTorch skills and a solid grounding in deep learning and at least one of imitation learning or reinforcement learning.
- Applied evidence such as publications, open-source work, or substantial course or competition projects.
- Comfort taking ownership of tasks with light supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Legally authorized to complete a three- or six-month internship in the United States.
