Responsibilities
- Define architecture standards for data lakehouse, streaming, and batch processing systems.
- Lead cross-team design and delivery of complex data platform initiatives.
- Establish best practices for data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and platform scalability.
- Drive platform reliability, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for high-complexity data challenges.
- Partner with security, compliance, and governance teams to support regulatory adherence.
- Mentor senior engineers and shape engineering best practices across teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 12+ years of experience designing and scaling enterprise data platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-team initiatives.
- Knowledge of enterprise data platform architecture, streaming and distributed processing systems, infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native design, and healthcare regulatory environments.
- Strong skills in large-scale system architecture, strategic technical decision-making, cross-team technical leadership, and platform modernization.
- Ability to influence engineering direction without direct authority and translate business strategy into scalable data architecture.
