Base Salary
$147k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions based on modeling techniques, data and feature selection, training, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality, bias/variance, and validation.
- Write, test, and review application code; develop and validate ML models; and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional Agile teams to develop software for big data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, monitor, and productionize machine learning models.
- Build or leverage cloud-based architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, and monitoring practices.
- Ensure code is well-managed, models are governed for risk, and ML systems follow Responsible and Explainable AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Scala, or Java; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
- At least 2 years of on-the-job experience with an industry-recognized ML framework such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow.
- At least 1 year of experience productionizing, monitoring, and maintaining models.
- Preferred: master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a similar field.
- Preferred: experience building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems; preparing data for ML models; and developing performant, resilient, and maintainable code.
- Preferred: experience deploying ML solutions in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred: experience with distributed file systems or multi-node database paradigms and production-ready ML data pipelines.
- Preferred: open-source ML software contributions, ML publications, and experience evaluating complex data pipelines.
- Preferred: experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
