Base Salary
$170k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end functional testing across UI, API, and database layers.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to define test cases, clarify requirements, and support high-quality delivery.
- Build and maintain UI automation frameworks with Java, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Build and maintain API test coverage with REST Assured and Postman.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines so failures surface early.
- Design and execute test plans for AI-powered features.
- Use Jira to manage test cases, track defects, and support testing workflows.
- Use Claude and Cursor to accelerate test development, generate test data, and improve defect triage and reporting.
- Identify quality gaps and drive continuous improvement across the testing function.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer, ideally in B2B financial services, fintech, or SaaS.
- Strong manual testing experience across UI and API layers, including exploratory testing and defect discovery.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and executing test plans with cross-functional teams.
- Experience testing browser applications, APIs, and backend systems across the full stack.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated regression coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency with SQL and validating data directly in databases.
- Proficiency with Java or another object-oriented language.
- Hands-on automation experience with Selenium or Playwright, plus REST Assured and Postman.
- Experience working in agile environments with regular releases.
- Experience testing AI-powered applications such as chatbots, assistants, or other LLM- or ML-based systems is a bonus.
- Familiarity with brokerage or investment concepts such as margin, options, account types, and trade lifecycle is a bonus.
