Lead Software Engineer — Workflow Orchestration (React | Camunda | Java/Python) Full Stack

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end Camunda workflow architecture, including BPMN/DMN models, orchestration patterns, SLAs, boundaries, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Lead full-stack delivery across React user interfaces and Java/Python backend orchestration services.
- Design resilient long-running workflows using idempotency, retries, timeouts, compensation patterns, correlation IDs, and deterministic state transitions.
- Build integrations with Data Marketplace, ServiceNow, IAM, and other enterprise systems using API and event-driven patterns.
- Implement secure IAM functionality including authentication, authorization, service principals, token handling, entitlement checks, least privilege, and secrets management.
- Tune Camunda runtime and worker performance and establish logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and incident runbooks.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, quality gates, versioning, and safe rollout or rollback.
- Lead responsible use of approved AI-assisted engineering tools for code review, testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, and defect detection.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and production operational stability for enterprise-grade platforms.
- Proficiency in Java, React JS and/or Python, including backend services, APIs, clean code, object-oriented programming, and applicable concurrency fundamentals.
- Proven experience with Camunda workflow orchestration, BPMN, DMN, and Camunda client or engine libraries.
- Understanding of the full SDLC and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong CI/CD experience with automated tests, linting, security scanning, quality gates, and internal EAC pipelines.
- Knowledge of resiliency patterns for long-running processes, including idempotency, retries, timeouts, compensation or saga patterns, and failure recovery.
- Experience with secure coding, secrets management, least privilege, and integrations involving Data Marketplace, ServiceNow, and IAM.
- Demonstrated leadership using approved AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Preferred: deep Camunda 7/8 expertise, process migration strategies, runtime performance tuning, distributed systems, microservices, Kafka, event-driven orchestration, advanced Java performance engineering, production-grade Python, TypeScript, cloud operations, GitOps, and observability.
