Responsibilities
- Build and refine controls that protect customer accounts from account takeovers.
- Develop backend and frontend components for fraud prevention and detection systems, with approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend work.
- Design and operate systems and pipelines supporting financial crime prevention infrastructure.
- Own projects end to end, make data-driven decisions, and improve automation and customer protection.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Investigations teams to deliver scalable fraud prevention capabilities.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages and the Spring framework.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and distributed and concurrent systems.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and resilient schema design.
- Strong product ownership, accountability, independent project execution, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and commitment to test-driven development and coding best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts across teams.
- Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle, including data pipelines, feature engineering, and deploying ML systems to production, is preferred.
