Responsibilities
- Apply and build software engineering skills in areas such as cloud platforms, big data platforms, and application development.
- Work independently or as part of project teams on real business situations within the global Digital Technology & Data team.
- Use software engineering, analytical, systems analysis, database design, and problem-solving skills to complete assigned work.
- Participate in supervision, mentorship, performance evaluations, learning activities, leadership events, volunteer events, and cross-functional networking.
- Work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, ML, Cybersecurity, Computing, or another information technology-related discipline.
- Expected to graduate with the degree in June 2027 and able to obtain institutional approval for a five- to six-month internship from early January through the end of June 2027.
- Knowledge of basic structured programming, systems analysis and design, database design, and business concepts.
- Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, analytical and technical skills, prioritization, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and information research abilities.
- Able to work with limited guidance and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Preferred qualifications include prior software engineering internship experience, commercial product software development experience, and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Benefits
- Monthly stipend provided during the internship.
- Internship runs from January 4, 2027 through the last week of June 2027.
- Onsite work is required multiple days per week at Cargill’s Bengaluru Capability Center, and candidates must be geographically flexible.
- Work timings are 12 noon to 9 pm.
- Transportation is provided to and from work within the serviceable Bengaluru area, with the same pickup and drop-off address required.
- Access to mental health and wellbeing programs and the Klib Learning Library.
- One sick leave and one casual leave per month, subject to manager approval; leave does not accrue or get encashed.
- Learning, leadership development, volunteer, orientation, and networking events are available.
- Outstanding interns may be offered a full-time Associate Software Engineer position.
