Senior Solutions Architect

- Own the end-to-end architecture for a governed, zero-copy data platform across Databricks, Snowflake, and adjacent cloud data sources.
- Produce decision records, reference architectures, solution diagrams, design standards, and build-versus-integrate recommendations.
- Define catalog, metadata, data-contract, and governance integration patterns across cloud and lakehouse environments.
- Design agent- and MCP-based access patterns for exposing governed data products to enterprise AI tools and agent platforms.
- Establish future-state direction for data products, cross-source data composition, and agentic data consumption.
- Align platform architecture with enterprise engineering practices and guide engineering teams toward implementation.
- Influence engineers and senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and explain complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of technology experience, including significant experience in solution, enterprise, or data architecture.
- Demonstrated experience designing cross-cloud and multi-cloud data architectures.
- Experience applying zero-copy, data-mesh, data-product, and domain-driven design principles.
- Deep expertise in data governance, access control, data classification, and geolocation-based access requirements.
- Experience defining data-contract standards and embedding governance metadata into platform workflows.
- Strong identity and access management experience for users, machines, and agents, including OAuth/OIDC and service accounts.
- Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Preferred familiarity with semantic layers, ontologies, knowledge graphs, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, cross-cloud cost management, and FinOps.
- Preferred experience in regulated life-sciences or comparable compliance-driven environments, including GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, PII, or PHI handling.
- Preferred life-sciences industry experience and connections.
