Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize the technical vision for the Card Tech domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational, and scalable solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical designs and implementations.
- Provide authoritative guidance on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy and API standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Write production-ready code while mentoring engineers and strengthening technical capabilities.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, and technology best-practice initiatives.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
- Attract and recruit technical talent and promote engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 12+ years of coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred 12+ years of full-lifecycle system development experience, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Preferred 7+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred 7+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving technical-team professional development.
- Preferred 3+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews or establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in strategically applying agentic AI coding tools to systemic development challenges.
