Responsibilities
- Lead development of Via’s real-time Operation Center, including routing, driver dispatching, and mass-scale user communication
- Architect and ship performant, scalable full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Redux, and Python microservices
- Integrate Copilot, Cursor, and LLM-based testing and refactoring into the development workflow
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and drive technical roadmaps
- Collaborate with Product and Design to turn ambiguous operational challenges into scalable technical solutions
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience shipping production-grade software
- Expert-level proficiency in React and Python
- Proven experience owning large-scale software features from conception through deployment
- Experience using AI tools to automate work, find bugs, and improve productivity
- Ability to identify and resolve product or team bottlenecks independently
- Interest in mentoring engineers and guiding technical direction
- Pragmatic judgment about balancing system quality with delivery needs
